TUMBLE CABINET
Automated
tumble barrel blasting cabinets are designed for use by
high-production manufacturers who need to prepare the surface
of many identical small parts. Batch processes
requiring small parts to be peened, deburred, or cleaned can
be performed with minimal labor commitment by using a tumble
barrel suction blasting cabinet. After loading parts
into the barrel, the timer is set to start, and the
production worker can then move on to other productive
tasks.
PART BLASTER
The parts rest on a bed of the chosen media while
anywhere from two to six blast guns automatically clean,
etch, or peen the parts’ exposed surfaces.
Perfectly prepared surfaces can be achieved by initially
varying media, tumbling speed, blast duration, blasting
pressures, and media flow. Once the optimal batch
finish is uniformly achieved, the exact “formula”
can then be repeated for all identical batches.
SHOT PEENING
Suction blasting machines that can hold anywhere from a
maximum of 25 pounds of parts, all the way up to 300 pounds
can be selected. Pressure blasting machines are
available for rapid grit blasting, or shot blasting of heavy
parts totaling up to 800 pounds.
Always wear appropriate personal protection equipment when
operating machinery of any kind.
